We recommend configuring this plugin before using the commands. Please see the configuration instructions below.

Boomerang allows your members to verify their Roblox account, helping to organise and secure your Discord server. You can easily customise the verification embed to suit your server’s needs.

Roblox Verification Configuration

  1. Enable the Roblox verification plugin by running /config > "Configure Plugins", then enabling the Roblox verification plugin.
  2. Access the Roblox verification configuration embed by running /config > "Configure Roblox Verification". Click on the setting option you wish to configure.
SettingDescription
Change NicknameWhether Boomerang should change the user’s nickname upon verification.
Nickname AdjustmentThe nickname Boomerang should assign if “Change Nickname” is enabled.
Assign RolesWhether Boomerang should assign verified roles to users upon verification.
Verified RolesThe role Boomerang should assign after a user verifies.
  1. Any changes you make will be automatically applied without requiring further confirmation.

Verify

To verify, run the /verify command and follow these steps:

  1. Click the “Verify Account” button in the embed sent after running /verify.
  2. Authorise with Discord. Ensure you are signed in to the correct Discord account, or the process may fail.
  3. Authorise with your Roblox account. Make sure this is the Roblox account you wish to verify.
If you receive the error message “You are not allowed to use this application”, it indicates that your Roblox account is under 13 years old. Boomerang access is restricted for accounts under this age, as it violates the Terms of Service.

Custom Verification Embed

We offer servers the ability to fully customise their verification embed to align with their server branding at no cost. This example uses Discohook:

  1. Invite the Discohook Utils bot to your server.
  2. Use /webhook create with Boomerang to generate a webhook owned by Boomerang.
  3. Visit Discohook to create a message/embed to your liking. Use the webhook URL provided when you used the /webhook create command to send the embed.
  4. Right-click the message you just sent, select “Apps”, then click the “Add Button” option with Discohook Utils. Create a Link button.
  5. Set the link for the button to https://api.bmrg.app/roblox/verify?guild=ID, replacing “ID” with your server ID.
