We recommend that you configure the points plugin before using the commands. See how to configure the plugin below. Only people with the management or discord moderator permissions can access point commands.

Boomerang offers the ability to track the standing of your server members using points. When a user in your server is moderated via Circle, Boomerang will add the configured amount of points for that action. You can configure the amount of points per action using /config. This system is solely designed to use Circle and you cannot use other moderation bots.

Points Configuration

  1. Enable the points plugin by running /config > "Configure Plugins" and then enable the points plugin.
  2. Go to the points configuration embed by running /config > "Configure Points" and then click on the setting option you’d like to configure.

Maximum PointsThe maximum number of points a user can have. When reached, a message will be sent to moderators saying the max points number has been reached.
Sends DMsWhether or not to send DMs to the user when they receive points.
Points per ModerationThe number of points a user will receive per moderation, this will vary per moderation. Able to be customised per moderation.
Points Log ChannelThe channel ID for the points log channel. This is where Boomerang will send a message when a user receives points.
PrefixCircle’s prefix that will be used for moderating users.
Auto Delete TimerThe amount of time in seconds before the points message is deleted.
  1. The changes you have configured will automatically change without you needing to confirm any changes.
The points module is explictly designed to only be used for Circle moderation commands, other moderation bots are not compatible and may not function correctly with Boomerang. The points module only supports the usage of prefixed moderation commands, slash commands will not function properly.

Managing Points

If at any point in time one of your moderators make a mistake or you need to simply edit the amount of points the user has Boomerang has got your back. You can use these commands to manage a user’s points.

/points viewYou are able to use this command to see your points if no user argument is given or the points of a user if you specify the user.
