We recommend configuring this plugin before using the commands. Please see the configuration instructions below.

Boomerang’s Ban Appeal plugin allows you to manage ban appeals effortlessly, eliminating the need for external tools like Google Forms. With integrated approve and deny buttons, you can handle appeals directly within your Discord server.

Ban Appeals Configuration

  1. Enable the Ban Appeals plugin by running /config > "Configure Plugins", then enable the Ban Appeals plugin.
  2. Access the Ban Appeals configuration embed by running /config > "Configure Ban Appeals". Click on the setting option you wish to configure.
SettingDescription
Ban Appeals ChannelThe channel where ban appeals will be sent when a user submits an appeal.
Ban Appeal CooldownThe amount of time a user must wait before submitting another appeal.
  1. Any changes you make will be automatically applied without requiring further confirmation.
  2. Use the command /appeal send channel to send the appeal button in the specified channel where users can submit their appeals.

Submitting an Appeal

To submit a ban appeal, locate the “Ban Appeal” button within one of the server’s channels. Then, follow these steps:

  1. Click the “Ban Appeal” button and fill out the required information. You must provide your Roblox username, the reason for the ban, and your appeal reason.
  2. Click the “Submit” button. This action will send your appeal to the server staff for review. You will receive a DM once your appeal has been reviewed.

Appeal Management

When a user submits an appeal, Boomerang will send a message to your configured ban appeals channel, allowing your server staff to decide whether the appeal is accepted or denied. Boomerang will:

  1. Create an “Approve” button, which will notify the user via DM that the appeal was approved. If an API key is configured, Boomerang will automatically unban the user from the server.
  2. Create a “Deny” button, which will notify the user via DM that the appeal was denied. The user will be able to submit another appeal after the cooldown period ends.
  3. Create a thread where your staff can discuss the ban appeal.

Customising Your Ban Appeal Embed

If you wish to create a custom ban appeal message using a webhook, you can do so with Boomerang. Ensure the Ban Appeal plugin is correctly configured before proceeding.

  1. Use the /appeal webhook create command to create your webhook. This command must be used to attach the button to your custom embed.
  2. Copy the webhook URL and use a third-party service such as Discohook to create your embed message and send it in the channel.
  3. Copy the message ID of the embed you sent and use the /appeal send webhook command to add the “Appeal Ban” button to your embed.
